Day 1 Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe airport.You will be welcomed by our Driver/Tour guide, who will transfer you to Airport Guesthouse Entebbe for your Dinner and accommodation. Depending on the time of your arrival, you might spend the afternoon at UWEC, home to captive animals and over 170 species of birds. They include 7 species of weavers, such as the rare Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Weaver, etc.
Your guide will be there waiting for you. Pick up and proceed to your hotel.
Airport Guest House (B&B)

Day 2 Mabamba Swamp

Early morning we shall drive to Mabamba Swamp, 50 km west of Kampala. Look out for many different birds on our way to the swamp, like the Papyrus Gonolek, White winged Warbler, Northern Brown throated Weaver and Weyns Weaver. Mabamba Swamp is one of the best places to spot the rare Shoebill Stork. But also many other species can be found here, like the Allen’s Gallinule, Grey herons, African Water Rail, Goliath, Purple and a variety of egrets and ducks. The best way to enjoy the rich birdlife is by canoe and you might even have the luck to encounter the elusive Sitatunga Antelope, adapted to swampy habitats. Later in the afternoon back to Kampala for your dinner and accommodation at
New Madagascar Hotel.

Day 3 Kampala - Mabira Forest - Jinja - Kampala

Transfer to Mabira Forest, 65km east of Kampala. We spend the rest of the day birding in the Mabira forest, pausing for lunch at Jinja and visiting the source of the Nile. Transfer to Kampala afterwards.

Day 4 Kampala - Murchison Falls

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Birding in Kaniyo Pabidi (Budongo Forest) in the afternoon. Afterwards we proceed to Murchison falls and spend the night on the shores of the Nile.

Day 5 Murchison Falls

Early game drive in the morning to see the large animals of Africa and also for birding. In the afternoon we make a boat trip on the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the falls. The boat is an ideal platform to make photos of the birds.

Day 6 Murchison Falls

Early morning adventure on the Nile on a private boat trip to the delta. Game drive in the afternoon.

Day 7 Murchison Falls - Hoima

Early transfer to Budongo forest. Birding through the jungle. In the afternoon we drive to Hoima Town were we spend the night. Budongo Forest is also home of many butterflies and chimpanzees.

Day 8 Hoima - Kibale

After Breakfast we drive to Kibale Forest. Make a walk through the forest in Chimps' Nest to see birds and monkeys in the afternoon. Optional night walk through the forest to see the animals of the night, like bats, Bushbabies and Galagos.

Day 9 Kibale Forest

Chimpanzee tracking in the morning and afternoon visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birding.

Birding in Kibale Forest and the area around it.

Day 11 Kibale - Semuliki National Park

National Park. Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs and make a walk through the jungle for birding.

Day 12 Semuliki National Park - Semliki Wildlife Reserve - Fort Portal

Birding in the morning through the national park and transfer to Semliki Wildlife Reserve in the afternoon. Boat trip on Lake Albert. Transfer to Fort Portal afterwards.

Day 13 Fort Portal - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we pass the equator. Game drive for birding or optional guided walk on the Mweya Peninsula in the afternoon.

Day 14 Queen Elizabeth NP

Game drive in the morning, boat trip on the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. The boat is an ideal platform to make photos of the birds.

Birding through the park, leading to Maramagambo Forest. Transfer to Buhoma, Bwindi, in the afternoon.

Birding in Bwindi National Park.

Optional gorilla tracking or optional birding through the Neck (area in Bwindi).

Transfer to Ruhija. Birding in this unique area, with a lot of Albertine endemics.

Day 19 Bwindi Impenetrable - Lake Bunyonyi

Birding in Mubwindi swamp and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest and most beautiful lake of Uganda.

Day 20 Lake Bunyoni

Birding on the island, around the lake and in the area. Optional boat trip on the lake.
Natures Prime Island (B&B)

Day 21 Lake Bunyonyi - Lake Mburo

After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo. Boat trip for birding on the lake in the afternoon.
Mantana Luxury Tented Camp (FB)

Day 22 Lake Mburo - Entebbe

Early morning game drive or game walk (optional) in Lake Mburo National Park. Transfer to Entebbe to catch your flight.
